Teresa recently graduated from California State University Channel Islands with a Bachelors degree in Sociology and is currently attending the graduate program at the University of La Verne pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Counseling with a PPS credential. She is a single mother of two beautiful children named Robert and Raymond Garcia and enjoys watching her children play sports and devotes most of her spare time to them.
Her career at the Boys & Girls Club began in July of 2007 where she began working as a Youth Development Specialist in the Teen Center. She came to the Boys & Girls Club to fulfill her passion to work with at risk youth. Her experience in the Teen Center helped her fulfill this passion and was one of the most rewording jobs she had ever encountered. She has now joined the Youth Empowerment Program as and Academic and Career Advisor and is extremely delighted to have joined the team. Changing lives is what she is inspired to do and with the Boys & Girls Club she knows that they can help her make it possible. |
