E-Mail
Carlos Mora joins the Boys and Girls Club as the Coordinator of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) program. Carlos grew up in Oxnard where he attended Rio Mesa High School, and played field hockey for the Under-18 U.S. Junior National Field Hockey Team and advanced to the U-21, and the National Team.
While studying at Oxnard and Moorpark Colleges, he spent a great deal of time traveling internationally with his team, and eventually was asked to train in England’s club system. He played for Maidenhead’s 2nd division team initially and then moved up to Marlow Bucks 1st division team, just west of Central London.
Upon his return from England, Carlos enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC), where he ultimately graduated from the Annenberg School for Communication with a B.A. in Communication. While attending USC, he held many leadership positions in student organizations ranging from communication, business and sports.
After toiling in various positions in marketing and sports, he entered a Sport Management Master’s Program at the University of San Francisco (USF). At USF, he took a holistic approach to his career path and felt the Boys and Girls Club would be a goof fit to meet that need of providing service to others within his interests. Carlos is excited to be a part of an organization entrenched in the community and in a capacity to serve youth through the NFTE program. |
