BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER OXNARD AND PORT HUENEME SEEK SPONSORSHIP AND HOSTS/GUESTS FOR CAMPAIGN FOR KIDS BREAKFAST

OXNARD, Calif.—The  Boys & Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme will be hosting its 6th annual “It Just Takes One,” Campaign for Kids breakfast, Thursday, April 3. The event will be held at the Residence Inn by Marriott at River Ridge in Oxnard. Attendance is limited to 350.

The breakfast, a hosted event for all interested parties, will feature keynote speaker, Tony Award nominated actor and Boys & Girls Clubs alumnus, Courtney B. Vance. Sponsorship packages are available and all sponsors will be recognized at the event.

“Our annual “Campaign for Kids” helps the Boys & Girls Clubs realize its mission of creating hope and opportunities for our young people,” said Chief Professional Officer Tim Blaylock. “Our clubs offer a safe haven every day, along with a professional staff who care, encourage and inspire; a place where members feel a sense of belonging; where they are free to create the future they imagine.”

Funding from this event will help support the programs and services at the 25 Boys & Girls Clubs locations and school sites in Oxnard and Port Hueneme serving more than 7,000 youth annually.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme exists to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. With three full-service clubs, 20 school program sites, and one housing site, the organization is one of the largest of its kind in California, serving 7,000 members annually. It’s also the first Boys & Girls Club of its kind to open in the Juvenile Justice Center. Program areas offered to youth include character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, technology and sports/fitness/recreation opportunities.
