E-Mail
Anjelica Garcia, born and raised in Oxnard California, a mother of three beautiful children, is a graduate from Gateway High School. After graduating in 2005, Anjelica participated in the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) for career guidance, while participating in YEP she faced many barriers that she has overcome today and is very proud of the women she has become, thanks to the Boys and Girls Club. In 2006, she started working with the same program that she started with, as an Administrative Assistant then began working at Larsen Elementary for a year, as a Program Aide with the Boys and Girls Club’s After School Program. In 2008, her hard work and dedication was rewarded with a promotion to her current position as an Out of School Academic & Career Advisor. She is now able to guide our youth through the Job Ready Accelerated Program at the Colonia Housing Authority. She now has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people, considering she was once one of these individuals who needed guidance. It is truly an honor for her to work for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme and for the people who made a difference in her life. |
